Job Description

About the role:

As the Director, Incentive Compensation Lead, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and driving the design and implementation of effective US incentive compensation plans and policies, including overseeing end to end process and communication with internal partners and external vendors. Must be able to work within a cross-functional team environment at all levels within the organization to lead and influence. You will partner closely with US Sales leadership, Finance, HR, and Compliance.

How you will contribute:

  • Strategically partner with sales and marketing leadership teams to align IC plans to Business Unit and Franchise strategies.

  • Lead IC development and design, modelling, implementation, IC performance report delivery, contest design and administration, business rule process, validation and communication.

  • Provide direction and insight into best practices across multiple brands, industry benchmarks and ensure alignment with IC guiding principles.

  • Provide ad hoc information requests to address business questions and lead and/or participate in larger scale sales force effectiveness projects.

  • Manage and oversee compliance, delivery and quality of external vendor resources

  • Lead a team of Managers/Analysts in the delivery of IC solutions for their respective Business Units/Franchises

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical Industry experience

  • Incentive Compensation Design/ Sales Operations/ Analytics/Call Planning with pharmaceutical manufacturer or vendor/consultant company servicing the pharmaceutical industry

  • Pharmaceutical field sales experience helpful but not required.

  • 3+ years of supervisory/ management experience

  • Subject matter expert of internal and external data sources utilized in Incentives including a thorough knowledge of sub-national third party data and data suppliers.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Understanding of territory alignment, targeting, sales reporting, prescription tracking, call data, and internal data process flows and their impact to IC

  • Technical proficiency with databases and software packages such as MS Excel,

  • MS Access, PowerPoint and decision support tools

  • Ability to manage subject area external vendor experts
